Remove CAP number on display title

12

Hi Tasneem, Great work. When you add the category to the page tab to the "advanced settings" and see Display Title. Just remove the CAP number from that.

Also, names in the person template should include the CAP numbers just like regular bio links. Thanks!

Ok! I have a question, Do i include links such as "death in early albany:/"burying the dead in early albany"?

Nicholas.lue (talkcontribs)

Yes, those pages will get moved over eventually.

1. Where would I include the Study portion of the notes on George Clintons/geoclinton page 2. Henry Cook/hecook7701 – link from the word ancestry, does not go automatically to pg. 16. and I cant change it (last time i checked) 3. Hendric C. Cuyler/hecuyler334 – should I (and where) include the link from the word consequences (Tory Timeline) 4. Isachar Child/ischild7607 – there is no link to the NYC census and directory that this person is supposed to be on 5. James Caldwell/jacaldwell7509 – cant link his will 6. James Campbell/jacampbell7532 – “scenarios” link? 7. Jodaniels7758 and lecourt7710 not found 8. Is there a link to the 1810 Census and 1816 City Directory? 9. Do I link “Yankee Invasion” for Ricartwrightjr or does that fall under Rev. war links?

1. The Clinton papers are listed in the link here: Sources#Clinton.2C George - Public Papers 2. I altered the link for Henry Cook. I just cleared the search, went to page 16 and linked that. I also need to add his CAP number on the page. 3. I think a citation works for Cuyler. I don't know what I'm getting when I click on 'consequences'. You can add the citation at the end of the sentence. This also needs to get moved to include the CAP numbers. 4. You can remove the link. It doesn't work for me either. It's also possible you have to have an account to see that content. 5. It looks like the actual will isn't included in the site, just a link to probate records in general. I added the footnote about the copy at the Albany Institute. 6. That seems to be a bad link. Just remove it. 7. Disregard these 8. Those don't exist yet. I'll add them once I'm done renaming pages. 9. No, I would add the Yankee Invasion. It's not part of the Revolutionaries text.

Thank you thank you!!

OK Thanks. I am almost done, just 4 more pages left and then I have to go back and change some stuff. And also I have a few more questions, ill get them all together when I am finished and then post them. For 1. I meant the part of the notes thats says "Study:", should I (and where) include it? 4. Oh For me it just goes to the Albany census/directory i believe but the person is not on it ??. Your Welcome

1. The study section was linked to the word 'study' in the text. You could cite that word.

4. Neither of those links for 'census' and '1971' work on my end. I would just leave them out.

For Obcooper495 and Obcooper496, there is something wrong abt the CAP #'s. The real #'s are 795 and 455 (respectivly) but it keeps on showing as 495/496 even when the right num. is typed. And for wmcaldwell the Annals of Albany Vol. 5 citation is weird. it works when i just click on it from the old website but when i link it the text doesnt show. But yeah Im all done, I just have to go back and fix the template and Cap stuff I did wrong

Nicholas.lue (talkcontribs)

Apparently my reply didn't post. I'm pretty sure I fixed the CAP number issue here.

There are more bios that you wanted me to do right?

Nicholas.lue (talkcontribs)

Yes, I will send you a list. Thank you.
